New EP in the works and first shows of the year

K & D will be recording a new EP in the coming weeks with a release date sometime in summer 2012. While most will be new songs, some were played during last summer’s tour. We will try and feature some previews of tracks in the coming months available on this website.

We will be playing a couple of shows in the next month including one Feb.25 at The Emerald Lounge in Asheville, NC. A short tour of the south east will happen in May and then a full tour up the east coast is expected after the release of our EP, probably in September. Hope to see everyone out there.

The tour, and what’s coming next
September 23, 2011

Tour last month was a great experience for K & D. Finishing up in New York was stellar. Thanks to everyone who came and spoke to us afterwards — we met a lot of wonderful people on the road and we look forward to doing it again. We have one more big show this month playing with The Sky Drops in Charlotte on the 25th.

We are also auditioning for a new bass player in October, so if anyone is interested, contact us on here. After that we are concentrating on writing new songs and look forward to getting out on the road to perform them soon! Thanks everybody.

Tour blog: 3rd and 4th nights

Tour is picking up steam. Looking forward to Philadelphia and New York to end things. Wilmington really brought it — the atmosphere was truly electric and it was one of K&D’s best shows! Also a bit of a homecoming for a couple of members who are from there. Sadly there was no beach time as we were off to Richmond for a rare early start time of 7:30 playing with 4 other bands. We finished so early that we decided to head on so we could enjoy Philly all day before we play there. More to come and we will post pictures from all the shows when tour concludes.

Tour blog: 2nd night

We have just concluded our second night of tour, and a lot of great bands have already shared the bills with us. We want to bring them all to Asheville. No hiccups so far, but we did end up changing a K&D family member’s tire at 3am on Sunday morning. We are off to Wilmington tomorrow. More later.

Album released + going on tour

What Hurts the Most is finally available — on CD, vinyl, and digital download — and we are hitting the road on Saturday for our mini-tour on the east coast. We have also just booked a couple of Charlotte shows in September. Stay tuned for more. We’ll post some updates from the road unless there are any technical hangups.

Finished mixing
May 7, 2011

Knives & Daggers just concluded its last mixing session with Jayro at High Five Recording. We are scheduled to master the album near the end of the month. In the meantime, we are working on an east coast tour for the beginning of August.
